Guidelines for our Amazing Tutors
Welcome to On-One Education Ltd (affectionately called the On-One Company) We’re excited to have you on our team. To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, here are our teacher policies.
Virtual Classroom Sessions
1. When should I log into my classroom session?
- Log in 15–20 minutes before the scheduled class time.
2. What should I do when I log into my scheduled class?
- The first teacher to log in will be made the host.
- Ensure cameras and microphones are working.
- Keep your camera on at all times.
- Request students to keep their cameras on.
- Record every class and explain to students that recordings ensure client satisfaction.
- Share class notes (Word, JPEG, or PDF) with students after the session and send them to On-One via email or WhatsApp.
- Greet students as they arrive, ideally 5 minutes before the class starts.
- Play the On-One theme song and advertisement during the session unless instructed otherwise.
- Start with a 7-minute fun, fast-paced, and mentally stimulating activity to engage students.
- Regularly ask students for referrals, especially after enjoyable classes.

4. Payment Information
- Tutors are paid every Sunday. A screenshot of the transaction slip is sent.
- Payments are made via internet banking. Submit accurate banking details before your first class.
- Rates:
- 45 TTD/hour for one student.
- 50 TTD/hour for multiple students.
- 60 TTD/ hour for home visits.
5. Booking, Cancellation, and Rescheduling
- Full details can be accessed here.
- Classes can only be rescheduled with student approval and company confirmation.
6. Internet or Attendance Issues
- If a student’s internet drops, the teacher should continue for the scheduled duration. Teachers are paid for one hour if teaching occurs.
- If a teacher’s internet drops, the session remains open for 10 minutes. If the teacher cannot return, the class will be rescheduled.
- If a student doesn’t attend, the teacher should remain in the class for one hour and inform the company. Payment will be made for the hour.
7. Absences and Substitutes
- Notify the company in advance and submit lesson plans/notes for the missed classes at least one week prior.
- Upon return, review the substitute’s lessons with the class before continuing.
8. Feedback Forms
- Fill out a Teacher’s Feedback Form after every class and submit it immediately.
9. Communication Policy
- Contact students only via supervised WhatsApp group chats, including at least one director.
10. Teaching Beyond Scheduled Time
- Teaching beyond the scheduled time is voluntary and unpaid. Ensure client consent.
11. Legal Compliance
- Do not teach On-One subjects outside the company’s platforms. Violations result in legal fines.
In-Person Classes
1. Arrival Time
- Arrive 15–20 minutes early to prepare the classroom.
2. Before the Class
- Ensure all teaching materials and equipment are ready.
- Greet students upon their arrival.
- Start with an engaging 7-minute activity to stimulate learning.
3. During the Class
- Encourage open participation.
- Play the On-One theme song and advertisement when appropriate.
- Use clear explanations and interactive teaching methods.
4. After the Class
- Provide students with notes in printed or electronic format.
- Submit class notes and attendance to the company via email or WhatsApp.
5. Absences
Notify the company in advance and provide lesson plans/notes for substitutes.
Home Visits
1. Arrival Time
- Arrive at the student’s home 15 minutes early to set up.
2. Before the Class
- Confirm all teaching tools are functional.
- Politely introduce yourself to the student’s family.
3. During the Class
- Maintain professionalism and focus solely on teaching.
- Follow the same engagement and teaching guidelines as in-person and virtual classes.
4. After the Class
- Share notes electronically or leave printed copies with the student.
- Submit class details and notes to the company.
5. Safety and Conduct
- Always adhere to professional behavior during home visits.
- Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
